Man UTD fans are melting away
on attempting a bit of a gloat, it amuses me how many friends are answering they've given up on supporting them.. What a bunch of spinless glory hounds! funny though.

Don't you dare try turning them into West Ham fans.

Point them towards Stamford Bridge

until the next trophy or final, that's the only reason anyone born outside Manchester is on the bandwagon. them and new breed Chelsea, the ultimate glory hunters

Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
I am always deeply suspicious of anyone who supports Man U without coming from Manchester.
To me it’s a character flaw , the sign of a mental softness. Weakness. Lack of heart. Not someone to be trusted.
Probably due to being touched as a kid.
And enjoying it

The 4 or 5 I have had communication with have been

a) Very complimentary of us
b) Want Jose murdered

... however there are 2 or 3 that are normally very very vocal... one of them one of my best MATES missus who has been very very very quiet....

Sven - I'm a West Ham fan (since the age of 8) who doesn't come from the East End. That alright with you?

Sven Roeder 6:57 Sat Sep 29
Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
That’s fine
I’m sure you would never describe yourself as a glory hunter or started supporting WHU because they won a LOT

The vast majority of non Manchester Man U fans support them because they win a lot.
I see it as the behaviour of a child. No BACKBONE

Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
We've probably got one of the biggest numbers of "non-local" fans among the teams that haven't won a great deal.

Because of the "West Ham" way, maybe?

Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
Well in my case I must admit, it was because I was acting like a child.... because I WAS a child. I was 8 in 1966 and was hooked by Moore, Hurst and Peters. But there's never been any chance of giving up on West Ham.

Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
I've never understood glory-hunters.

How can you support a club fucking nowhere near where you live that you have zero affiliation with?!

It's also dead easy to support a club that plays in the Champions League and wins trophies every other year. Any soppy gutless cunt can do that.

These sort of 'fans' wouldn't last five minutes supporting West Ham.

Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
I no that I've spouted this NON-LONDON BOROUGH shit before on here but I'm always on a wind-up.

I've actually got nothing but total respect for those fans who chose to support us with no connection to the club. Because it's fucking hard work at times. It's not easy. It's so easy to instead support one of the 'glory' clubs that so many boring gutless wankers do.

One name that pops into my head is Olly Murs born in Essex yet is a Manure fan. I do not get it unless his dad was born in Manchester and always kept the faith.

I do not hate Glory hunters I just feel sorry for them.

That bloke's a cock.

Not surprised to hear that he's a glory-hunter too.

Re: Man UTD fans are melting away
Apparently even Olly Murs own family have disowned him, he comes across as a plastic ego manic so doesn’t surprise me

Exile, same as you, a young lad of 8 in 1966, Moore, Hurst and Peters got me hooked, have always lived in North Lincolnshire with no family connections to London. For my sins though I get to about half of Grimsby's games, it's been a long hard football life but it's great when you have those moments of joy.
